At sewing process the thread goes under a great frictional force and heat of the sewing parts, Which decreases the tensile properties of the parent thread. In this paper thread tensile properties are measured before the sewing and then taking out the thread from the seam precisely to get the tensile properties of thread after 10,30 and 60 seconds of continuous stitching, whereas the lockstitch machine is made to run at 1000rpm,2000rpm,3000rpm& 4000rpm respectively to measure the impact on the sewing thread . 35x3Tex 100%polyester thread at different speed of machine and different times of stitching were compared to obtain the relation between the loss of tensile properties with regards to speed of machine,Cooling fan was used to reduce the needle temperature and tensile properties were again measured for comparison , finally the samples were observed in the Scanning electron microscope to see the damage, This article shows a clear relation to loss of tensile properties of threads from
