The topic of this paper is the importance of community research in the design of social services within the community planning. The presented results of the research show highly questionable use of social services, citizens of the city due to lack of awareness of these services - as social counselling and prevention of social services and social care services. Presentation of the results of the research carried out in 2014 shows in this regard primarily to weaknesses in community planning cities in previous years and also shows the possibility of greater public awareness of solutions that contribute to a wider and more effective use of social services.
