Analysis of breaking capability within asymmetrical short circuits
Original language description
This paper discusses the occurrence of asymmetrical currents and difficulties within their breaking due to the reduced breaking capability in limitary areas of breaker's characteristics. It's aimed at breaking of generator short-circuits with specific course. Transient and subsequent stress are defined by electrical, magnetic and mechanical conditions inside the generator and breaking capacity is affected by the random mechanical state of the circuit breaker.
