Automatic detection of different mechanical ERDPF configurations
Original language description
The Electrically Regenerable Diesel Particulate Filter is primary intended as part of an exhaust system which is able to use for a vehicle retrofitting. The portfolio of target applications is wide therefore it was necessary to design an electronic system which will be usable for all hardware configurations of ERDPF filters without any changes in firmware of the electronic control system. The electronic system was designed as a modular system which uses the new automatic detection methodology of mechanical ERDPF constructions. The automatic detection function is based on the bus switches and measuring of power consumption.
