Original language description
The design, production and experimental verification of a magnetically controlled spring actuator based on magnetorheological elastomers are presented. The actuator features a helical spring design with a conical shape and adjustable stiffness, enabling continuous actuation with stable position control. Experimental results demonstrate the actuator’s linear static force characteristics within a defined working range and its capability to balance magnetic forces with internal mechanical stress. The actuator opens potential applications in small-scale robotics, such as soft robotic grippers.
