Accepting Bologna Agreement in the year 2000 changed dramatically the conditions for pre-service teacher training. Future teachers are prepared during the three-year bachelor program in the subject field. In the subsequent two-year magister program training in the fields of pedagogy, psychology and methodology prevails. Students have only 3 semesters to learn basic teacher competencies. One of the ways to improve didactic preparation of students is to use case study method from subject methodologies. This application brings good results when forming basic teacher competencies. It helps to minimize fear of failure at first performances during teaching practice. Case study is a complex and creative solution of a given didactic situation in a simulated didactic environment. Didactic situation is understood as short-term interaction between teacher and pupils, (or among pupils), that is defined by the content and the way of solution, i.e. the chosen methods, , means and forms. .
