Relationship between optimality and regulator complexity in linear tracking problem

  • Original language description

LQG optimal error feedback regulator copies the complexity of the controlled system. Many a time the regulator may be considerably simplified without the substantial deterioration of control quality. Methods of the complexity reduction of regulator can be found in literature. Presented method of the optimal reduction of error feedback regulator complexity allows most of all to determine the rate of quality deterioration respecting optimal regulator. Further, the proposed method shows the way of findingcompromise between regulator complexity and control system optimality.
