Optimization of the railway vehicle bogie parameters in term of dynamic response caused by radial wheel irregularities
Original language description
This paper presents an original methodology of parametric optimization of the railway vehicle bogie in term of vibrations caused by geometric irregularities of running wheel surfaces. The approach to optimization is based on the mathematical modelling ofthe bogie vibrations in perturbance coordinates with respect to operational state of static equilibrium. Calculations of dynamic load show that radial and bending stiffness of the wheels as well as the vertical stiffness of track structure have dominantinfluence on vertical wheel forces and on dynamic loading of couplings between engine stators and bogie frame. The developed software in MATLAB code enables to choose different design parameters as the optimization parameters and minimization of arbitrary dynamic deformations and forces of bogie components and forces transmitted by different couplings.
