Motion control algorithms in the new version of the REX control system
Original language description
REX control system has been developed for over a decade. Recently, it was decided to implement a new library of motion control blocks into REX. This paper presents a new version of REX which contains (among other improvements) a newly developed single axis motion control algorithms compliant with the ?Function blocks for motion control? specification by PLCopen. The new version of REX also includes a new Ethernet POWERLINK driver. Usage of motion control function blocks and the Ethernet POWERLINK driveris demonstrated on several servo motor control examples.
