Original language description
In this paper, a new method for division of traffic network for distributed simulation of road traffic is introduced. This method ? Mesoscopic-Simulation-Based Division (MeSBD) - is focused on the uniform load of the particular simulation processes. Thenumber of traffic lanes divided by the network division is also considered in order to minimize the inter-process communication in the resulting distributed road traffic simulation. In order to achieve a good network division, a fast mesoscopic simulation and a genetic algorithm are employed in the MeSBD method.
