Original language description
The paper deals with Automatic Face Recognition. The main goal is to improve existing face recognition approaches and to evaluate their results. Three approaches are proposed: 1. The Eigenfaces method modified for using more than one training image 2. Self Organizing Maps (SOM) with Gaussian mixture model (GMM) 3. Re-sampling with a GMM All experiments are realized using the ORL database. The recognition rate of the best proposed approach, SOM with Gaussian mixture model, is about 97%.
