Simulation-based testing of vehicle onboard software
Original language description
Modern vehicles are equipped with advanced computers and diverse software. It is not only limited to vehicle control, it can contain also different kinds of telematics, navigation or even have an entertaining function. With spreading of such devices, thorough testing of software is becoming more important. Especially in situations, when software is distributed via systems similar to App store or Linux repositories. Software added to the market has to be tested not only for proper functionality, but alsobecause of security reasons to ensure that applications in the repository are safe for end users. We are proposing a component based simulation system, designed to test OSGi applications or their fragments in order to determine their extra-functional properties. We are using simulation to provide a realistic environment for tested applications, to avoid necessity of testing preliminary version of software in real traffic.
