Original language description
The paper deals with the inflation of spherical muscular balloon. The muscle fibres are described using a continuous binding site model of the Huxley sliding cross-bridge theory. A numerical method of characteristics is proposed to simulate the redistribution of bonded cross-bridges. The intravesical pressure in deforming balloon is derived as a function of the stretch and the force generated in muscle fibres isotropically distributed.
