The cell communication in bladder as a nonlinear dynamical system
Original language description
The communication of two types of cells - interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC ) and smooth muscle cells (SMC) - seems to be crucial in the explanation of some pathological effects in the lower part of the urological tract as a overactive bladder (OAB) or detrusor instability or overactivity (DO). A few models of these cells can be found in literature but not their communication via gap junctions. Such a model is introduced in this contribution. When the stimulation from the efferent nerves is taken into account, this model is a non-autonomous nonlinear dynamical system. As the control parameters are chosen parameters which model the effect of different drugs. The bifurcation points of this system correspond with the above mentioned pathological effects. In the contribution some examples are shown
