How teachers get insight to dynamic geometry
Original language description
Published research on the use of Dynamic Geometry Environment in teachers training showes the importance of teachers´ understanding of Dynamic Geometry as a discipline which brings different working style from the paper and pencil geometry and uses different concepts and ways of thinking for problem solving. The aim of the research was to find what tasks are suitable to be introduced to teachers in order to get the Dynamic Geometry more easily. Teachers have problems not only handling the application but understanding Dynamic Geometry itself. They do not know where to drag, they lack dynamic imagination and cannot always use findings from space-graphic level in the abstract level. Many of them stay at the level where they are only able to use preparedfigures for dragging and use the software for quick and exact drawing without using its dynamics.
