The significant problem in natural sciences education is decreasing number of students interested in this field. A comparison of attitudes to biology and biology education among the various groups of students according to different age groups and genderwas drawn within the questionnaire survey. The data were analysed by standard statistic methods. We focused on assessment of teachers? personality, their qualities and popularity, teaching methods and activities in the biology teaching. Among main factors which influenced the popularity of biology were ranked the attractive topics, useful and practical biology knowledge, excursions and stay in nature. There were found no significant relation to both age and gender of respondents. We realized that students haven?t got experiences with new teaching methods in biology as the inquiry based scientific education is.
