NONVERBAL ELEMENTS AND TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING
Original language description
Nonverbal element as an independent means of communication plays an important role in mathematics. We use it both ways - either to mediate curriculum content, or for expressing content using nonverbal elements. Visualization using nonverbal elements helps to better understanding of mathematical problems. Geometry practically cannot do without visualization. The research on nonverbal elements and their interaction with human perception aims extensive research area called research on pictures. In this article we research on nonverbal elements in terms of their function as a visual representation, in which we examined the extent to which students are able to work with these visual representations when they have to apply the learned knowledge. Research isaimed at students of secondary school and at the topic of quadrangles. In this article we try to answer the question of whether visual representations help in the transfer of learned.
