    The sector of small and medium sized enterprises is considered to be the backbone of the economy and the driving force of innovation not only in Czech Republic, but also in the global environment. The development of this sector has a significant impact on the economic and social development of the country and its various regions. This paper deals with the evaluation of eight selected sub-processes of human resource management in small and medium sized enterprises of the South Bohemia Region. The main aim of this paper is to analytically describe the evaluation of sub-processes of human resource management and their differences based on the size of the enterprise, furthermore, to analyse the statistical correlation between the human resource managementsub-processes evaluation within particular categories of surveyed enterprises. There were used primary data obtained within the project GAJU 039/2013/S ?Human resource management of small and medium sized enterprises? for meeting the aim.
