The twenty-first century is a time of turbulent change that places great demands on business management. Oneof the factors leading to a company's success in this period may be the implementation of innovation. In this paper wewill focus on the initial stage of the innovation process - the origin of the idea itself. Specifically, attention is paid tosuggestions for improvement from employees. It has been found that employees with higher job satisfaction make moreimprovement suggestions. More improvement ideas can be expected from men and also more educated employees.Finally, employees of smaller enterprises are more active in this respect.
