This article deals with theoretical aspects of Burn-Out Syndrome (causes, impacts, prevention and course of the syndrome) and also introduces research results that mapped the occurrence of the syndrome among teachers at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Defence in Brno, Czech Republic. The research was based on a questionnaire survey and the results were processed with the help of regular statistical methods.
