    Implementation of the Neural Network Approximator into FPGA Device

    There exist the needs to rapidly estimate radar cross section (RCS) of specified target with limited precision. That need is for instance when the modern simulation radar systems should be developed. The RCS estimation is based upon the multi-parametricfunction prediction and one of the possible solutions according to my opinion is to use neural network trained to fit that function value. The structure of neural network consists of the large number of relatively simple neurons. It is the parallel typeof architecture and the FPGA chips are devices suitable for the parallel computing process. This paper is trying to implement specific neural network approximator into the chip Xilinx, Spartan-IIE.

    Vzhledem k potřebě realizace rychlého aproximátoru odhadujícího radiolokační odraznou plochu cíle pro účely simulace radiolokačního systému byla vyvinuta jednoduchá neuronová síť. Cílem práce popsané v tomto článku je implementovat její strukturu do obvodu FPGA. Byl zvolen obvod Spartan-IIE, firmy Xilinx.
