Approaches to maintainability allocation of military combat vehicles

  • Original language description

The article deals with the maintainability allocation, which is the process of assignment of maintainability requirements to subsystem, assembly, subassembly, or component levels within a system which will result in meeting the overall maintainability requirements for the system if each of these requirements is attained. The article suggests a method of equal and weighted apportionment of maintainability requirements. The main focus is the weighted allocation of maintainability requirement for serial systems. At the conclusion of the article, this method is demonstrated on a combat vehicle in the form of numerical examples.
