Geology in a Concept of Military Engineering Education

Education of military engineers gives lectures connected with the subject of civil engineering. Here, specifically subject of soil mechanics has been adapted for specific curriculum. The extent of this subject follows its goal to augment knowledge in other civil engineering disciplines only. MILENG (military engineering) concept indicates requirement to incorporate geology into decision making process. But this indication did not express anything on particular questions, problems or tasks. How geology could improve decision making process? Should be a permanent presence of geologist advantageous for MILENG? What extent of geology shall be taught? Or, could be enough for engineers to maintain contact with ?remote? geologist in homeland (i.e. Reach Backconcept)? The preliminary answer could bring phasing of NATO crises response operations (CRO).
