Modelling and Simulation of hypersonic missile in VR Forces environment

  • Original language description

This article analyses the construction and flight aspects of hypersonic missiles (HSM) and proposes a methodology for modelling and simulation (M&S) of these advanced weapon systems. The study focuses on the VR-Forces program developed by MAK Technologies as the chosen simulation environment due to its versatility in incorporating new entities and defining customised parameters. Specifically, the simulation aims to replicate the flight characteristics of the Russian HCM 3M22 Zircon missile, a an example of hypersonic weapon (HSW). By utilising the VR-Forces program, the temporal factors of the missile’s flight are determined and evaluated. The HSM model is verified within a simulated scenario, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of its performance and behaviour. Comparisons are made between the simulated results and the initial assumptions, offering valuable insights into the accuracy and reliability of the model. Furthermore, the study explores the potential applications of the M&S approach in assessing the effectiveness and operational capabilities of hypersonic missile systems and provide us with input data for possible counter measures and air defence.
