The use of building elements in the design and construction of the military base protective perimeter in a foreign operation.
Original language description
The Czech Republic, as a member of NATO and the European Union, has been part of multinational military operations for many years. From the beginning of the crisis on the Arabian Peninsula, through a separate military base in Shajkofc in Kosovo, Czech Army reached the territory of Afghanistan, Iraq and other non-European countries. In all these operations, the force protection of the troops had to be ensured as a priority. Safety, as a main principle, is implemented by the military base, which is defined not only as the starting point of every military operation, but it is also a place to rest and life supporting activities. For these reasons, each military base has a specific protection that depends on the base layout and the enemy possibilities how to threaten the soldiers. Currently, enemies do not only use firearms, also the VBIED (Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Device) are used by the spreading of the blast wave during the explosion. The article focuses on the description and use of the construction elements, which contributes to the creation of protective perimeter and ensure comprehensive protection of the military base. The possibility of using appropriate software can measure the spread and size of the blast wave in each point of the base and helps with the design of the particular base parts.
