Behavioral toxicity of nerve agents
Original language description
Persistent severe alteration in behavior and cognitive functions, especially impairment of learning and memory, was observed after the exposure to high doses of nerve agents. Nevertheless, repeated or long-term exposure to low level of nerve agents can also cause behavioral alterations due to down regulation of muscarinic receptors in hippocampus.
