Original language description

Method for the determination of deoxinivalenol (DON) in cereals has been developed and applied. Solid phase extraction with Envicarb cleans up columns and subsequent separation by HPLC-MS and C-18 Luna (Phenomenex, USA) column. DON was detected by MS inpositive mode. The developed method is relatively cheap and fast with high sensitivity. The method was used for determination of DON in barley and malt. The detection limit for barley was 25 ?g/kg and for malt it was 30 ?g/kg. A variation in quantity ofDON in samples after a malting process was found.
