On January 23 2013 the session of the Commission for Quality Evaluation of Malting Barley Varieties at the RIBM, Plc. was held. The Commission at its meeting assessed quality of the varieties in the registration procedure in harvest year 2012. The requirements for production of beer with PGI Czech Beer were fulfilled by the varieties HE 550A (Laudis 550), 9/02-6D (Zhana), HE 1076 (Petrus), and NORD 08/2341 (Vendela).
