Efficiency of Usage of EU's Rural Development Subsidies in Liberecký Region
Original language description
The aim is to assess the efficiency of EU?s subsidies usage in Liberecký region. A non-parametric efficiency analysis method was used. Particularly we utilized Data Envelopment Analysis and calculated CCR and BCC output oriented models. We considered thesubsidies aimed at rural development from Rural Development Programme and from Structural funds, where the beneficiaries were municipalities, as inputs to the model. The outputs were measured by the benefits of the subsidized projects. The projects wereassessed according to their efficiency of subsidies usage. BCC model predicted more efficient projects than CCR. It can be concluded that cheaper projects tend to be more efficient. Project?s efficiency depends also on its type.
