    The paper describes research carried out in a few groups of English and Spanish language courses. Discipline, preparedness for a final exam and final exam results are compared in a class where students were asked to follow a certain seating arrangement (experimental groups) and in groups were they were allowed to sit as they chose to (traditional groups).
