The use of microsatellite polymorphism for the characterisation and comparison of horse breeds.
Original language description
Genetic structure and relationship among selected horse breeds (Thoroughbred, Czech Cold Blood Horse, Silesian and Lany Noriker, Zemaituka, Hutsul and Old Kladruber Horse - Grey and Black) were studied by using PCR amplification of 12 microsatellites. Polymorphic information content, parentage exclusion, average heterozygosity and genetic distance were analyzed.
