Original language description
Seven species found in the localities under study represented 53.8 % of all species known at present from the Czech Republic. Some species found in the target area develop in flower heads of Cirsium, Carlina, etc. (e.g. Palloptera umbellatarum), other species (T. quinquemaculata) in grasses or in stems of Angelica (T. trimacula). Carnivorous larvae are in e.g. T. usta foraging larvae of Scolytids. As for ecological demands, the species found here are rather hygrophilous and sciophilous, T. trimacula isdistinctly anthophilous. The commonest species in the study area seems to be P. umbellatarum, found in 15 localities. The locality with the most diverse pallopterid fauna was Holibka, where all species were found but one and Chloumek with 5 species.
