Can cytokinins change content of essential elements and the quality of wheat grain ?
Original language description
An impact of aromatic cytokinins on content of several essential elements in grain and baker's quality of spring wheat Sandra was verified. BAP (benzylaminopurine) and its derivatives were applied on spring wheat in heading (49?50DC) at plots (10 m2). Properties of plants as well as grain were compared with those of the control group. Content of elements (Ca, K, Mg, Cu, and Zn) was determined in the digests prepared by dry decomposition of grain by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Yield structure, gluten, and falling number were analysed in the accordance with the directives ČSN 461011?9, ČSN ISO 712, ČSN ISO 3093. It was found, that cytokinins could influence content of element mentioned in grain. It seems, that ribosyled cytokinins can stimulateaccumulation of phosphorous, potassium, and zinc, and diminution of copper, and calcium. Gluten content in grain has been enhanced by benzylaminopurine (BAP), benzylaminopurineriboside (BAP-ri), and 6-(3-methoxybenzylamino)purineriboside
