The vitamin C belongs to the important contentual substances in all vegetables. The aim of this work was the study of some factors, which influence a content of the vitamin C in a lettuce (cultivars Bastile, Ballerina, Levistro). There was certify influence of a cultivar on a vitamin C content. In the all growing periods reached the highest values of the vitamin C content the Bastille cultivar (the spring 484 mg.kg-1, the summer 364 mg.kg-1, the autumn 392 mg.kg-1), after this followed the Levistro cultivar (the spring 262 mg.kg-1, the summer 180 mg.kg-1, the autumn 208 mg.kg-1) and last from these three choosen cultivars obtained the Ballerina cultivar (the spring 286 mg.kg-1, the summer 264 mg.kg-1, the autumn 242 mg.kg-1).There was certify the influence of the growing period on the vitamin C content.The comparison of the individual growing periods shows, that the highest content of the vitamin C was in the spring by all cultivars (the Bastille 484 mg.kg-1, the Ballerina 262 mg.kg-1,
