Influence of the non-woven textile (NT) Pegas-agro 17 UV on tubers quality of early potatoes was monitored in precise field experiments during 2003-2004. The varieties Adora and Impala were cultivated in field trials at a site in Přerov nad Labem. The tubers of the mentioned varieties were manually harvested, the first sample collection by 60 days after planting. Dry matter content was determined by gravimetric method, nitrates content with ion-selective electrode, polyphenol content spectrophotometrically with Folin-Ciocalteu´ reagens. Carotenoid content from extract of the acetone was spectrophotometrically determination by apparatus HP 8451A diode array. Total carotenoids content was determination as lutein equivalent. The NT at average years increased dry matter content in potato tubers near variant with textile by 1.11 % than near the control variant.
