Gymnochiromyia inermis is a rather thermophilous species and proved to be a typical inhabitant of warm forests (oak and steppe forests in particular) in the area under study. On the other hand C. flava is a habitat tolerant species living also in disturbed and anthropogenic habitats. Both these species were recorded from five localities (5/01, 4/02, 1/04, 4/04, 5/04) and G.inermis was the more frequent species (found in 12 samples). None of them belong to endangered or vulnerable species in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, none of typical southern species of Aphaniosoma associated with dry (e.g. steppe) habitats have been found and also Chyromya miladae Andersson, 1976 (characteristic species of steppe forests) has not been discovered in the area under study.
