The paper makes a valuable contribution to the debate surrounding agricultural commercialization, production diversity, and nutrition. However, we argue that the central conclusion, that The results illustrate that land-use change through oil palm adoption significantly improves the diets of farm households in the tropics, is misleading and overgeneralized.
