Sibor - an effective oxidation protection
Original language description
Oxidation kinetics of protective SIBOR layers on molybdenum surface by atmosphere at tempertures up to 1450 deg. C and the interaction of those layers with various glass melts under electric current load have been investigated. Life times of several months can be extrapolated from oxidation tests, whereas in glass melts Sibor is dissolved within approximately one week. Solid and gaseous reaction products have been described.
