Syntheses of phenyl(hydroxy)ethylguanines as biomarkers of exposure to styrene
Original language description
The most effective approach for the synthesis of 7-N-hydroxy(phenyl)ethylguanines was the alkylation of 2-amino-6-chloropurine by allyl protected synthetic equivalents of styrene 7,8-oxide followed by conversion to guanine derivatives and deprotection. 7-N-hydroxy(phenyl)ethylguanines obtained are used as analytical standards for methods of early diagnosis of DNA damage caused by styrene.
