Xylanase production in solid-state fermentation using agroindustrial residues with Aspergillus niger

  • Original language description

Xylanases are glycosidases (O-glycoside hydrolases, EC 3.2.1.x), which catalyze the endohydrolysis of 1,4-β-D-xylosidic linkages in xylan (8). The organism used in these studies was Aspergillus niger LPB 326, obtained from the laboratory culture. The objective of this work was to carry out a kinetic study of xylanase production during 10 days in SSF in order to obtain a profile of some fermentative parameters and optimize the physical characteristics.Xylanases are glycosidases (O-glycoside hydrolases, EC 3.2.1.x), which catalyze the endohydrolysis of 1,4-β-D-xylosidic linkages in xylan (8). • Czech name
