Automation of Micromaltery
Original language description
The micromaltery installed in the UCT Prague consists of three technological compartments in which basic technological operations of the malting process (steeping, germinating and kilning) can take place. Each compartment is fitted with eight sample boxes (each for 1 kg of barley grain) and with a removable and perforated bottom. This configuration allows the application of a wide range of control options to stages of the malting process (steeping, germinating and kilning). Software of the process control system provides for full remote, manual and automatic control of actuators in technology, process data acquisition and processing of the information, a diagnostic system for the technology, the setting of required values and limit conditions, as well as system display including full information on basic variables and states in real-time.
