    Permeability of Polyethylene Membrane for Organic Vapors and their Mixtures

    This work deals with determination of the permeability coefficients P of pure saturated and pure non-saturated vapors of n-hexane, n-heptane, cyclohexane, benzene and toluene and determination of the cross-flow permeability coefficients Pij of their binary mixtures through polyethylene flat membrane. The differential flow permeameter with thermal conductivity detection of vapor mixtures composition at 25 C and atmospheric pressure has been used. Joining of permeameter with the chromatographic apparatusenabled to analyse densities of molar fluxes of pure compounds and densities of molar fluxes of binary mixtures. Polymer membrane - Low density PE membrane BRALEN FB2-30 (thickness 50 mm), which has been used in this work, is produced by Slovnaft, a.s.,Slovakia.
