Design and testing of the new flow permeameter
Original language description
Recently designed and manufactured flow permeameter makes possible to determine the permeability and diffusion coefficients of gases and saturated and non-saturated vapors through flat (polymer) membranes. Software and hardware enables to obtain resultswith higher reproducibility by more convenient way and in a broader extent of permeability values in comparison to other permeameter. Influence of various disturbance variables (cell temperature, temperature of catharometric surrounding, input valve temperature, flow of carrier-gas on stability of baseline and on signal amplitude) was tested. The permeameter was verified by measurement of n-heptane and toluene permeabilities through PE and PEBA membranes at temperatures of 25 and 40 °C.
