Minimum OCR Representation Using Pruning Techniques
Original language description
The optical character recognition (OCR) is a traditional task which demonstrates the abilities of propositional logic, fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, statistical analysis or optimization techniques to solve given pragmatic problem. The OCR can be realized as a system of independent artificial neurons for character classes. The authors convert single artificial neuron learning to the constrained optimization task. The Matlab system is used for numeric experiments. The precious learning, the robust learning and the network pruning are used for OCR learning task.
