Original language description
The article is focused on the study of dynamics of the enzymatic reaction glucose ? glucose oxidase ? ferricyanide with or without sodium hydroxide in a continuous-flow stirred tank reactor and in a batch reactor. This simple reaction provides an interesting nonlinear dynamic behaviour (bistability, excitability). Due to presence of the enzyme glucose oxidase, which is ubiquitous in organisms, the reaction serves as a model of certain functions of living systems. The reaction exhibits pH-variations of steady state in dependence on a selected inlet parameter. The dynamical behaviour of the reaction was examined as the inlet parameters were varied.
