This work is focused on experiments with a complex reaction of hydrogen peroxide with thiosulphate and sulfite in acidic solution carried out in a continuous flow stirred tank reactor. This reaction belongs to the family of pH oscillators because the concentration of hydrogen ion exhibits periodic changes in time. The observed dynamical regimes of this reaction are multiple steady states and periodic oscillations under isothermal conditions. The aim of this work is the study of response dynamics of thereaction to single-pulsed forcing by additions of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide. Hydrogen peroxide constitutes one of the basic reactants and hydroxide ions provide one of the possible ways for consumption of hydrogen ions during the reaction (negative feedback). The concentration increment due to the pulse constitutes the control parameter.
