Analysis of pattern formation in arrays of coupled cells with glycolytic reaction
Original language description
This work is focused on mathematical modeling of glycolysis in coupled arrays of CSTRs. Parameters are tuned for occurrence of Turing instability. Glycolysis has been chosen as a representative reaction taking place in virtually all living cells. In a particular step in the glycolytic chain ATP changes in complex with enzyme phosphofructokinase to ADP through autocatalytic reaction. ADP is than recycled back to ATP through an inhibition reaction. This model was proposed by Moran and Goldbeter (1984). ?
