The accuracy of kLa evaluation at various transient rates of oxygen probe
Original language description
Mass controlled-processes are crucial for the most of products in chemical and similar industries. The volumetric mass transfer coefficient, kLa, becomes the indispensable parameter, for these processes with the gas-liquid mass transfer rate as the controlling factor. At the moment the volumetric mass transfer coefficient is usually predicted on the base of literature correlations. However, the many of correlations have their limits due to way how it should not be able predict kLa in other design of vessel then it was measured. Due to fact of their principle how to characterise vessels or ratio between diameters of vessel and impeller. Despite this fact, the correlation created by the dynamic pressure method was demonstrated to be physically correct in past in many operating conditions and for many types of batches. One of the key parameter for accurate value of kLa is dependence on the attribute of oxygen optical probe, transient rate (time response) ????M.
