Physiological response to plus and minus Gz load changes
Original language description
Some types of modern aircraft are equipped with a low flight's system. A new quality of the flight load is represented especially by plus and minus Gz forces changing. The tolerance to this load cannot be simply derived from the level of relax plus Gz tolerance. Czech Air Force air-fleet is armed with new light subsonic combat aircraft L-159 ALCA that will be equipped with this system. Measurement in real flights was selected in order to evaluate physiological response to the plus and minus Gz load. Theflight was defined as a sinusoidal trajectory. Plus-minus Gz acceleration alternated during the flight at range from minus 1.5 Gz to plus 3.5 Gz. Each pilot was exposed to 15 cycles of repetition with periods approximately 16 seconds. Continuous blood pressure was measured by the Portapres device and heart rate and other physiological signals by the cockpit physiological system.
