Reactions of Molecular Dications: Collision Energy Dependence of integral Cross Sections of Processes in CHCl2+ + Ar, D2 Systems from Guided Beam Studies.
Original language description
Collision energy dependence of integral cross sections of charge transfer processes and chemical reactions in the CHCl2+ + Ar and CHCl2++ D2 systems was investigated in guided-beam experiments. Both singly-charged reaction products resulting from non-dissociative charge transfer and chemical reactions in these systems could be identified, in the former system CHCl+, Ar+; CCl+, ArH+, in the latter CHCl+, D2+; CHDCl+; CCl+, HD2+. The identification of ArH+ and HD2+ helps to specify the reaction of CCl+ formation as a proton transfer process from the dication CHCl2+. The cross section for the charge transfer processes is almost independent of the collision energy; the cross sections for chemical reactions show a significant increase at low collision energy.
